Challenge
Seamlessly transition an existing, beloved print magazine into becoming part of an online and more frequently updated brand experience. All the while keeping in line with the mother brand, and adhering existing technical and functional limitations.

 

Process
In collaboration with another designer, I designed the magazine-like brand experience online for Moelven. I sketched possible concepts and layouts by hand, before moving on to digital wireframes, then visual direction, and finally the finished and implemented design and user interface.

I also did extensive field studies and interviews in Scandinavia to determine different user groups and their needs for the new company-wide intranet.

I later designed the web site template for Moelven's many sub-brands and daughter companies. The goal was to provide a distinct voice and representation online that would innstill a greater sense of pride in the employees, strengthen a sense of ownership to the mother brand, while carving out a separate space for the sub-brand, and (!) increase sales at the same time.
